At Taber Music School, we are a family-run institution dedicated to creating a vibrant and inclusive community where music truly comes to play. We foster an environment that celebrates individuality, creativity, and growth, embracing the joy and transformative power of music. Our nurturing, student-centered approach encourages learners of all ages and backgrounds to explore their musical talents, grow in confidence, and develop their unique musical voices.

We recognize that learning isn’t linear — and we honor the many ways students learn by offering diverse approaches tailored to the individual. Whether through movement-based activities for kinesthetic learners, visual tools for visual learners, or a flexible blend of music styles, our teachers meet students where they are and guide them forward with care and creativity.

At the heart of our school are three core values:

Creativity – We believe in the power of original expression. Through programs like our Winter Composition Festival, students explore improvisation, songwriting, and music theory in a way that’s joyful and meaningful.
Belonging – We create a welcoming space for all students by celebrating their unique learning styles, goals, and identities. Our monthly school performances, non-competitive recital spaces, and collaborative group classes are designed to build confidence and connection.
Growth – We support musical development through multiple pathways, whether it's preparing for RCM exams, playing in a band, writing original music, or simply learning for the love of it.
